Following deregulation and privatisation, the CMD partners perceived a lack of suitable training
in the bus and coach industry.
 
With considerable previous experience of training in the transport industry and other fields (including the erstwhile "Bournemouth Courses" in the 1970's and 1980's), they set up Creative Management Development Limited in 1994 to fill that gap.
